Drop into Meadville Public Library’s monthly Learning Labs to practice your American Sign Language! At these labs, get introduced to library books that help teach ASL, from handbooks to children's picture books that feature Sign Language. Plus, pick up some basic signs like names, colors, and the alphabet with volunteer instructors Aleta and Mellie. These labs are designed to help support sign language learners of all ages and abilities. Participants are welcome to stop by for just a few minutes or stay for the whole hour!

The Second Saturday Community Market is held in downtown Meadville, PA from May - September. This season, you can find them on Chestnut Street between Park Ave and Mulberry Alley.

About Paws Hand Delivered: Our handlers are compassionate people who love sharing their four-legged family member with others in need. These volunteers often obtain clearances in order to visit and lovingly give their time. They are local community members who collectively make Crawford County a better place! We provide services to local nursing homes, retirements communities, reading programs, classrooms, companionship, and much more.

Join Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to meet some of their animal ambassadors, including Tammy the Opossum and Myrtle the Turtle! Although you won't be able to touch or hold the wildlife, there will be several animal ambassadors present for you to see up close and in person! The annual plant sale is at the Downtown Mall parking lot (outside of Big Lots) in Meadville, PA. The Master Gardeners sell a large variety of house plants, perennials, vegetables, herbs, and other garden plants, along with trees and shrubs. Other garden items could be available such as garden gloves, magazines, books, stepping stones, and equipment.
The Master Gardeners on hand will also be happy to answer any horticultural questions.
